March 4, 2004 journal, death
and taxes, congressional work record, world weird trends.
"Tax his cow, tax his goat, tax his pants, tax his coat, tax
his crops, tax his work, tax his tie, tax his shirt. Tax his tractor, tax his mule,
teach him taxes are a rule, tax his oil, tax his gas. Tax his notes. Tax his
cash; tax him good, let him know, after taxes he has no dough. If he hollers, tax him more; tax him until
he's good and sore. Tax his coffin, tax
his grave, tax the sod under which he lays.
Put these words upon his tomb: "taxes drove me to my doom". And
after he’s gone, he can’t relax; they will be after his inheritance tax!”
Another profound statement in a local office building "Can you imagine
working for the following company? It
has a little more than 500 employees with the following statistics:"29
have been accused for spousal abuse. 7 have
been arrested for fraud. 19 have been accused of writing bad checks. 117 have
bankrupted at least two businesses. 3
have been arrested for assault. 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit.
14 have been arrested on d-r-u-g related charges. 8 have been arrested for
shoplifting. 21 are current defendants in lawsuits. 84 was stopped for drunk
driving in 1998 alone. Can you guess
which organization this is? It's the 535 members of the United States
Congress. This same group that
perpetually cranks out hundreds upon hundreds of new laws designed to keep the
rest of us in line!” Submitted by George Crocker, SLM 263. Well, I did not realize that their criminal
ratio was quite as high except for legalized fraud and corruption in terms of
taking under table money to favor their constituency. It is time to teardown Rome and not build
it back.up.
Why did we teardown Baghdad so we could
build it back? Will the American people
ever wake-up and take their face out of the tube and put a stop to Washington
corruption. It is time all states
succeed from the union. Let the Lord be
our God and reject all others. The Martha
Stewart trial is becoming an embarrassment to the government as singling out
the successful women for prosecution. The stock market is nothing more than a
major casino. I feel in a way betrayed by the church in not teaching me the
entire history of language in which the Scriptures were originally written. Translations do make a difference and for
that reason I quote from what sounds reasonable from the Internet website
<v-a.com> "And now this film of Mel Gibson comes on the world stage
and unntentionally exposes this hypocrisy of the
Western churches. On the one hand the
mainstream Christian churches of the West claim that the New Testament was
written in Greek, and on the other hand they retain the Chaldeans-Arabic
passage in the text of their Bibles. How
ironic! Whereas the Hebrew-Aramaic text of the passage reads "Eili, Eili, I'ma-na
sh’wik- thani" and
there is no translation after it, such as "My God, my God, why hast thou
forsaken me" or whatever, because there is no need to translate the
Ancient Aramaic as the passage, as well as the entire New Testament, is already
in the ancient Aramaic. And it's not
only that this film grossly misquotes the Scriptures, it's fanatical in its
prejudice against the Jews of all ages.
Together with the falsehood against the Jews, this movie desecrates the
memory of our Lord by showing him as helpless.
Eashoa was never helpless. He gave his human life willingly like the ram
that is slaughtered at Passover. His
courage was as great if not greater than the courage of Isaac when he climbed on
the altar and bid his father Abraham to sacrifice him. As the movie is breaking attendance records,
Christians of all denominations should ask themselves why is this film so
popular and yet portrays the Jews with such prejudice? How could Mel Gibson
make an exploitation movie about Jesus? Read more about it". I quote this for the sake of fairness. I am learning as I write. Some say we only have the translations and
not the original text.
